Sharing

Sharing is a lovely concept, one which seems to be discussed repeatedly in my house. Well, I discuss it while the children (2 & 4) continue to argue over the toy of the moment. Unfortunately, the 2 yr old (male) quite enjoys playing with his sister's girly things - fairy wands (good for sword fights), ponies, doll's house (makes a great garage when you tip all the furniture on to the floor) etc - you get the idea...

I'm quite good at sharing. For example, when I finally get a chance to sit down and eat MY breakfast I usually end up sharing it with the, apparently, ravenous 2yr old (because, let's face it, it has been a whole 30mins since he ate his breakfast).

My best ever example of sharing happened recently. Let me set the scene for you...My husband turned 40 a week ago and decided he wanted to race (yes, I do use that term literally) MY car/mummy wagon around a racetrack. So, in the spirit of sharing here is the YouTube video
of
my car being flogged all in the name of a midlife crisis (silver volvo stationwagon - his best mate took their family car too, the brand new black Aurion. Oh, and if you care, the blue bomb which overtakes the black car is a jet engine in disguise ;) ).

Enjoy! I know I did...NOT...

Watched The Simpsons intro lego style video. Very clever, nice to have hobbies, but seriously do these people have jobs?? Scary thing is, it looks like something my husband would have done in a former life :0

For amusement value, it's hard to beat
Mr Bean and Grover. Although a little dated, it's interesting to see how much the concept of a library has changed. I thought the application of online videos for reference tours, employee inductions and book reviews was quite interesting. Perhaps one day our customers will be watching online videos of us teaching them how to blog, share photos & videos, create wikis etc instead of attending classes in the library...
